Jay Z has finally addressed Beyonce's latest masterpiece - Lemonade - in a new rap, citing specifically how much money the pair made from taking the album to such a personal place.

Of course, we all assumed that Jay Z was in on the Lemonade charade from the very beginning.

The very fact that Beyonce's visual album was released on Tidal, the music streaming service owned by Jay Z, was proof enough of that.

How much of his input in the album was just a begrudging consent or full artistic influence, we weren't so sure of.

Well, in a new verse in Jay Z's remix of Fat Joe and Remy Ma's 'All the Way Up', he addresses Lemonade directly.

The verse goes:

'You know you made it when the fact/Your marriage made it is worth millions/Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is.'

The point about the lucrative power of his marriage is rather a cold confirmation of what many people have been speculating - that Beyonce's gain from lyrically stripping her husband bare is purely financial, rather than cathartic.

Does that mean the joke's on us for caring too much about what goes on behind closed doors in the JayBey household?

We're not sure.
