Former ELLE cover star, Keira Knightley may have ruled out a singing career after her recent film, Begin Again, but clearly this has not dissuaded her from taking to the stage – as it has been confirmed the actress will be making her Broadway debut next year.

While there may be no singing involved, Knightley will be playing the title role in a stage version of Émile Zola’s novel, Thérèse Raquin – where the plot centres on an unhappily married woman who embarks on an affair with one of her husband’s friends.

With Knightley already having previously taken to the stage in London productions for The Misanthrope and The Children’s Hour, her Broadway debut will undoubtedly be highly-anticipated.

Opening night will be 29 October at a Broadway Theatre yet to be announced. One ticket to New York, please!
