Let’s review Kendall Jenner’s CV: professional sibling, model, face of Estée Lauder, attender of parties we all get to look at on her social media feed (thanks, Kendall – saves us actually attending a real-life party for ourselves). And now she can add Official Voice Of Youth to the list.

Yes, the model has penned a column for The Wall Street Journal, no less, reflecting on the subject of youth. And who better to give insight on the subject than Certified Young Person Kendall? Not that she feels that youthful, however, at age 19. In the piece, which hits newsstands on Saturday, she writes:

‘I feel like I grew up too fast a long time ago. Having older siblings, you grow up around adults, so you mature more quickly. I saw my sisters and parents working every day, so I was pretty much brought up to be a workaholic.’

Never mind those teens toiling away behind supermarket tills on a Saturday to save up for their first Peugeot 106. Nope, talking at reality TV cameras, walking for and cruising LA in your $90,000 SUV is what’ll get you old before your time, it seems. No wonder Kendall’s worried about her rapidly approaching dotage, continuing:

‘I just turned 19 a couple weeks ago, and I’m scared to be 20 – it’s the first step out of being a teenager.’

Yikes! Twenty! The horror! Luckily, Kendall’s sister and wizened elder Khloé Kardashian (who is 30, and therefore likely to be carted off to an old person’s home at any moment) has advice:

‘My sister Khloé always says to me and my younger sister, Kylie: You have your whole life to be an adult but only so long to be a kid. And we get it. In the right situations, I try to be as immature as I can sometimes — react to things as if I were 12. You can’t take things too seriously.’

That’s right Kendall, enjoy the last year of your youth while you can. Past the grand old age of 20, it’s surely all downhill. As she herself asks:

‘And it makes me think – what am I going to be like when I’m 65?’
