Before Matthew McConaughey was the kind of actor who starred in critically acclaimed pay-cable dramas, and won awards for his emotional and underweight performance as a man struggling with AIDS, he was just Wooderson, a lovable stoner who wanted to know if you had a joint on you (you'd be a lot cooler if you did). The Criterion Collection just released a video of Matthew's audition for the 1993 classic Dazed and Confused, in which Matthew played the now-iconic party guy who famously gets older while high-school girls stay the same age, and it is wonderful.

Matthew nailed the role, of course, but said video is also notable because of how hot he is in it. That period-appropriate Headbangers Ball T-shirt. Those blond, wispy highlights. That voice. Hot damn. Sorry, gotta go, I'm dead.
