This Sunday is going to be major. We’re clearly not talking about Valentine’s Day – it’s BAFTA night.

Of course, the red carpet is a big part of the hype, and this year Laura Whitmore is hosting an exclusive online red carpet show with help of 4GEE Capture Cam – the world’s first wearable 4G camera - that will be streaming live throughout the night so everyone can watch from home.

We grabbed Laura before this weekend for some rules on how she prepares;

1. Do your research

'Make sure you've watched all the movies possible. It's important to know what you're talking about... There are worse things you can do than spend the two weeks leading up to the BAFTAs having mammoth movie sessions with a massive bowl of popcorn. The calibre this year is stronger than ever. I cried at Brooklyn and watched The Revenant through my fingers.'

2. Have a good breakfast!

It's a long day and stomach rumbling is off putting if you’re on the carpet.

3. Choose pretty but comfy shoes

At the BAFTAs a few years ago I had biker boots under my skirt and no one knew as it was so long. I danced all night!

4. Stay well hydrated

But don't over drink. Peeing takes longer in a ball gown.

5. Thermal pants

London is not LA. The red carpet is freezing! So underneath my dress hides some very practical large pants and wooly knits. Thankfully my amazing stylist Angie Smith has got me a beautiful bespoke dress that's also warm and can hold a mic pack!

And of course enjoy it, especially if you're at home watching!
