It’s official: the final countdown to the arrival of royal baby number two is underway.

Prince William has started his six-week paternity leave, after finishing his air ambulance training early.

It means the Kate won’t need to worry about her husband making a two-hour dash from his Norwich training base to St.Mary’s Hospital in London, where she is expected to give birth.

The Duchess’ due date is believed to be any time between now and the end of April (this Saturday, 25 April, is the bookies' favourite date), and the barricades have already gone up outside the hospital’s Lindo Wing.

We’re beyond excited about the prospect of a second royal baby, but one thing worries us: can we handle the cuteness of Prince George times two?
