In a week when Oscar de la Renta has passed away, and Oscar Pistorius has been locked away, the world has focused on the changing face of Renee Zellweger instead.

She stepped out on the red carpet at the American ELLE Women In Hollywood Awards earlier this week, and the internet went into meltdown.

Yes, she's had work done – we're not blind – but let's not forget that this is a woman who has already made something of a career of changing her appearance (Bridget Jones, anyone?).

Or that there are more important things going on in the world.

Or that if you watch this video and mentally draw her iconic eyebrows back in, it's not really that big of a shocker, is it?
