Want to meet one of the UK's most exciting young baking stars and ELLE's Editor-in-Chief? Thought so. Well, now's your chance.

Great British Bake off Runner-up, Elle columnist and now author, Ruby Tandoh, may only be 21, but she has packed a lot into those years. Her new book, Crumb (Chatto & Windus), hits shelves on 25 September, and it is so beautiful that even ELLE's Editor-in-Chief, Lorraine Candy, a self-confessed bake-phobe, has been tempted to try out the recipes.

Even if your cupcakes don't rise and your brownies are a disaster area, this is the night for you - from Lemon & Marzipan Cupcakes to Croissants, Custard Doughnuts and Sticky Toffee Pudding, Ruby has the know-how to help. So come along on 7 October from 6.30pm to hear the pair talk about cake, life and just about everything at the gorgeous newly-opened desert and cocktail bar, Basement Sate, in London's Soho.

Tickets are just £30 and include a signed copy of Crumb (available to collect on the evening) in an exclusive goodie bag with a Cath Kidston gift worth £12, a Baileys cocktail, sweet canapés and a one-year subscription to ELLE. Tickets are very limited, so book now!

As an ELLE subscriber, not only will you get each month's brilliant magazine delivered to your door, you will also become an ELLE Insider with access to exclusive discounts, deals, offers and competitions. Buy a subscription here.

PLEASE NOTE: Event is for over 18s only.
