With a host of awards under her belt, including seven Grammys and her most recent – ELLE Woman Of The Year award – it’s no surprise that Taylor Swift has just received another accolade. The 25-year-old singer has been named as the world’s most popular artist of 2014.

Taylor is at the top of a list of 10 artists, including Beyoncé, Katy Perry and her friend Ed Sheeran. The list, compiled by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), is based on physical sales, downloads and streaming statistics (despite the fact Taylor removed her music from Spotify in November last year).

But the IFPI revealed that Taylor would have been surpassed by Disney’s Frozen soundtrack if the list weren’t just made up of musical acts.
