Because time is a curious thing that races by at the blink of an eye and makes us wonder when we became real adults who have to pay bills and stuff, it's now been 12 years since Love Actually came out. TWELVE YEARS. That's quite a long time.

So it's not unexpected that the cast look pretty different nowadays, especially the kids from the show.

We all know what little Sam (played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster) looks like now he's 25: exactly the bloody same.

But how about his childhood sweetheart from the film?  Joanna, who he chased to the airport with his flustered step-father in tow, in a bid to confess his undying love for her before she boarded the plane to America and was lost to him forever. God it's making me emotional just thinking about it.

Joanna was played by American actress Olivia Rose Olson, who was just 11 when they filmed what was to become our favourite festive rom-com.

But now she's 23, living in Los Angeles, and working as a singer-songwriter. She's still in the acting game though, as she's currently voicing the role of vampire queen Marceline in the US TV series Adventure Time.

It also seems like she doesn't wear sequin tops and rock glittery braid in her either, these days, which we think is a bit of a shame.

But who needs to be reminded of how much time has passed, right? Let's all just go watch Love Actually, feel happy, and forget we're getting old.
