The Beckham fortune - reportedly said to be greater than the Queen's - is no small matter. Together, the former sporting superstar and the iconic ex-Spice Girl, AKA the best couple to come out of the nineties, have amassed a pretty penny over the years.

New figures regarding the couple's earnings have revealed that Victoria Beckham's global fashion brand turned over £34 million last year compared to David Beckham's sponsorship deals which pulled in a (comparatively) measely sum of £17m.

It seems that Victoria's earnings are growing at vast rates. Since founding her self-titled company in 2008, she has developed it into a multi-national business that employs a vast team of dedicated staff, who operate the online business, the Dover Street store in London and are planning to open new stores in America, Hong Kong, the Middle East.

Victoria was named Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 by Management Today magazine for creating 'a company that is both real and wildly successful'.

The magazine estimated her wealth at £210m and said she was 'an adept exploiter of her own celebrity value'.

Household earnings can be a contentious issue for many couples, whether we're talking about pennies or millions of pounds, so this news is welcomed by women everywhere. Victoria's success story in the business of fashion serves as inspiration for female bread-winners.
