Actress Jennifer Garner is the final to feature in our month of Woman of the Week takeovers.

WHO: Down-to-earth and unassuming, she first really caught our eye as sweet-as-sugar Jenna in rom-com, 13 Going on 30 – and since then hasn’t looked back, with roles in incredible films such as Juno and Dallas Buyers Club.

WHY: After the recent ELLE Women event, Garner spoke out about sexism in Hollywood, and the fact that it was ‘sad’ that such an event should have to exist. The actress stated: ‘The ‘men in Hollywood’ event is every day - it’s called Hollywood.’

Garner went on to further explain her frustrations: ‘Fifty-one per cent of the population should not have to schedule a special event to celebrate the fact that in an art that tells the story of what it means to be human and alive, we get to play a part.’

Well said.

WHAT’S NEXT: Coming up, the actress has a slew of films including the upcoming, Men, Women & Children – which explores how social media has affected sex and relationships in the 21st century.

FAVOURITE QUOTE: ‘I have figured so much more about life, and feel the older women get, the more beautiful they get. We become ourselves - which is something you can't teach anyone at 18.’
