ELLE gets active with the new Selfridges Body Studio
Once upon a time your gym kit was just that – the stuff you wore to break a sweat in before putting on the outfit you actually wanted to wear. Not anymore.
This content has been created in collaboration with Selfridges BodyStudio.
The general shift to a more holistic approach to lifestyle and wellbeing, along with breakthroughs in fabric technology and digital printing, has meant that activewear is now a bone fide fashion thing – and nowhere celebrates this quite as brilliantly as the new Selfridges Body Studio.
To celebrate the launch of Selfridges London Oxford Street's biggest in-store department to date, ELLE has curated a special video showcasing five of the Body Studio's hottest activewear brands – adidas by Stella McCartney, Y-3, The Upside, Puma and Monreal London.
The Body Studio isn't just about activewear – as the name suggests, this vibrant space is about ALL things body, from lingerie and hosiery to swimwear and nightwear, boasting not only the big names you already know but a host of fresh, new, up and coming design talent, such as lingerie label For Love and Lemons, nightwear designer The Three Graces London, and cult label Stance Socks.
The new Body Studio offers everything you need to treat, pamper and take care of every aspect of your body and wellbeing.
For expert advice on the best lingerie fit and styles for you, book a complimentary bra fitting session online or in store with the Fit Studio.
Pop into the on-site Daniel Galvin hair and beauty salon and tuck into delicious, healthy treats at the Hemsley sisters' first permanent café.
There's also a pop-up workout space on the lower-ground floor of Selfridges to celebrate the new Body Studio's launch, offering euphoric sessions from two of the most talked about names in exercise today.
Until 22 May, Psycle is hosting its legendary take on spinning classes, while Yung Club's immersive, experiential yoga – complete with DJ playlists and themed animations – will be available 25 May–10 June.
