With more than 130k followers on Instagram, Rosie Thomas (@rosielondoner) is a golden brunette. From travel and cooking to fashion and beauty, everyone goes crazy for her posts. This super-blogger also has a true passion for jewellery. In this precious encounter, she shares with us her what and why

She has arguably the best pair of legs in the blogosphere. Rosie the Londoner is a gorgeous twentysomething, perfectly groomed from head to toe. But Rosie’s specialness doesn’t lie in her looks – it’s due to her incredible blog success, which received a huge boost when Jessica Simpson mentioned her Slutty Brownies recipe on US talkshow host Jay Leno’s show. We catch up with her in Paris, where her fans are running after her on the streets for a selfie, like they would any celebrity, where we ask Rosie to tell us about own personal treasures

How would you describe your style?
Classic with a twist and a little bit fun.

Are you a ‘magpie’ (aka ‘jewel girl’)?
Jewellery should be important in everyone’s style. It can be a little thing that you just throw on, or it can accessorise an entire outfit. It can take your look from day to night.  It gets your personality across without even having to utter a word.

Costume or fine jewellery?
A mixture of both.

Retro or modern?
Is there something in-between? I like a timeless classic – always in style and chic

Silver or gold?
Both.

Diamonds or rubies?
Diamonds.

Rings or bangles?
Bangles. Unless it is a big diamond ring!

Earrings or necklaces?
I would happily wear both together!

To seduce you, which jewel?
A pale-blue sapphire ring.

Do you ever create a look around your jewellery?
It’s like the cherry on top. They are definitely as important as the rest, but it’s easier to choose an outfit and then add the jewels as a final touch.

Your first jewel as a gift?
My mother gave me one of my grandmother’s rings when I was a teenager. It’s a diamond ring and I used to wear it every day. I treasured it. I still have it – it’s locked away safe at home and I only really wear it for special occasions. It’s very special to me.

The first jewel you ever bought for yourself?
I haven’t ever really bought myself fine jewellery – one day, very soon!

What would be your next purchase?
It would be a gold, diamond choker to wear with evening gowns.

Which other jewellery is missing from your jewellery box?
I’m looking for a big statement gold cuff necklace that cascades all the way down.

Would you give jewellery as a gift?
I always give jewelry to friends. My favorite are these friendship bangles which have a meaning behind it. They have a message on the inside that rests against your skin and empowers you throughout the day.

If not jewellery what else would you give?
Shoes. You can never have too many shoes!

The worst taste in jewellery?
Anything that turns your fingers green or rubs off on you – copper or low quality jewellery; it’s just not chic at all.

The historic pieces you dream about?
I would die for anything that Elizabeth Taylor ever owned!
I think I’d choose her jewellery over the crown jewels
