Today we close our doors to the #ELLEBeautyCupboard at Bestival, ready to return to our London headquarters. Within the 1.440 minutes the cupboard doors were open, 397 festival go-ers came through our doors, 3,573 products were given away and 362 songs were played by our resident DJ, Richard.
It’s been an unforgettable weekend. From the steps of the #ELLEBeautyCupboard you have one of the best views of the festival: we’ve shaken it off to a roaming drum troop, caught the heady-hazy mood of the Summer of Love-themed parade as it passed and sung along to the likes of Lianne Las Havas, Charlie XCX, Little Dragon and Kate Tempset on the main stage.
And of course, what’s been going on inside the #ELLEBeautyCupboard has been a riot too. In addition to some exceptional costumes (think flower power and a whole lot of sequins) for us, it’s been all about the make-up.
Each day we’ve offered our guests the choice of 4 bespoke beauty looks, inspired by the Summer of Love. Rimmel London’s make-up artists kicked off day one with a bold electric blue eyeliner flick, then got into the swing of things with a 60s doe eye on day two, before toning it down with a bronzed smokey eye on day three. The finale? A dramatic feline flick, complimented by heavy dashes on the lower lash line. You could say we’re ending things with a bang.
