After a few winters in the fashion wilderness, the knee boot is back. It has been off the fashion radar for a few seasons, largely due to an obsession with the mini dress, (knee boots and mini skirts conjure the 60s vibe - not the look we have been after of late). However A/W08 sees the arrival of many knee boot friendly trends. The mid-calf length, love story style skirt, the tough girl's leather legging and the bohemian, printed chiffon, floaty dress as seen on the catwalk at Gucci to name just a few. Channel winter's dark romance trend in thigh-high leather, or add punky attitude to day dresses with lace ups and studs. For those who love flats - look for fringe-backed riding boots to give blazers and military coats an edge.
