From exquisite Victorian petticoats to Edwardian tea dresses, each rail is a treasure box of pieces worthy of a history book – and don’t fashion insiders know it. Almost every designer you can think of has stepped through these doors in search of inspiration and the store all has a hefty – and discreetly undisclosed – celebrity client list. Don’t be intimidated by the fact that you need to book an appointment to pay a visit but bear in mind that this is serious stuff – you won’t get much change from £1000 if you make a purchase.
