Karlie Kloss, self-described 'model, ballerina, and cookie expert', is taking on the role of coding spokeswoman - and giving out scholarships as part of her advocacy.

Kloss is partnering with the Flatiron School to create the Kode With Karlie Scholarship. The program will give 20 girls ages 13-18 a full ride to the school's pre-college Introduction to Software Engineering course, the class Kloss herself took last summer.

'Code is only going to continue to play a major role in defining our future,' Kloss says in the announcement video. 'I think it's crucial that young women learn to code as early as possible to ensure that we as young women have a voice and a stake in what the world looks like.'

Girls can apply by sending a 60-second video telling Kloss how they imagine they'll use what the model calls 'your coding superpower.' Very cute. Learn more about the awesome initiative here.
