THE X-FILES

The news we've all been desperately holding out for - well, sort of anyway - that The X-Files is set to return to TV, finally came in March 2015 when it was announced that Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny would be reuinted as FBI agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder in a six-part series. Whilst no further details about when the series is set to air have been made public yet, we know the truth is out there... somewhere.

THE VOICE UK

There are few things as cathartic as shouting your opinions at the TV. The Voice quarter finals (starting this Saturday 21 March at 7.15pm on BBC1) provide ample opportunity to unleash your inner talent judge (alongside actual coaches Tom Jones, Rita Ora, Ricky Wilson and will.i.am) and have a good old-fashioned sing-a-long to boot. The line-up of songs kicking off the live shows is guaranteed to get us chair dancing – Cyndi Lauper and Rihanna songs are good for the soul. Fact.

KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS

Life’s too short to pretend you’re not hooked on the Kardashian Krew’s real-life drama. Take ELLE’s advice – embrace your obsession, starting this Sunday 22 March on E!

GAME OF THRONES

Boom, boom, boom. The drum-beating, cymbal-clashing GOT theme tune strikes excitement in to our hearts. ELLE’s bite-size, spoiler-free review of season five’s first episode? Classic Thrones: a death, a funeral and, wow – those dragons…

Season 5 launches 13 April on Sky Atlantic. Read our exclusive interview with the show’s star, Alfie Allen, in the April issue of ELLE.

EMPIRE

The buzz around America’s freshest smash-hit show is loud. The inaugural season concluded with an audience of 17 million, which is HUGE. The show has all the addictive trappings of an excellent soap opera. The twist is, it’s set in the hip-hop world, which means cameos from Rita Ora, Jennifer Hudson and Mary J Blige are standard fair. The bad news: a UK transmission date is still tbc. We wait with bated breath.
