Last October, Marc Jacobs stole our hearts at Louis Vuitton with his impossibly pretty show, set upon our childhood favourite - a carousel - and just to ensure he ticked the beauty box, every model wore a delicate jewelled hair band. It's not just the catwalk that is working this trend for spring, Charlize Theron and Michelle Williams have already stepped out on the red carpet at the recent Golden Globes with their own versions -  Michelle's was by designer Fred Leighton, while Charlize's was a vintage Cartier number (both quite possibly out of our price range). We also spotted Jamie King and Busy Philipps taking a nod to the look at Vuitton with fine metal and jewelled hair bands adorning their up-dos. While Rooney Mara and Evan Rachel Wood kept things a little more low–key, accessorising with plain black bands.
