Celeb Watch… 2012’s New Beauty Faces

A little known British actress (The Worst Witch and Chalet Girl, anyone?) her star is set to go stellar since she was signed by Dolce & Gabbana , alongside existing ambassador Scarlett Johansson , to be the face of its new Kohl Collection (out this month). Stefano and Domenico said of Felicity, ‘Classically beautiful yet modern in attitude, her audacious gaze is impossible to ignore.’ And we would have to agree.

ELLE magazine is putting its money on flame-haired Jessica to come up trumps at awards season for her supporting role in The Tree of Life with Brad Pitt. She’s not afraid of a bold kohl-rimmed eye or a bright lip, so whether she takes home a mantelpiece full of statuettes or not, she’s still a winner in the beauty stakes.

Singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey was the name on everyone’s lips during the second half of 2011 following her first song Video Games and her debut album Born to Die is out this month. The pretty singer, with pillowy lips and luscious hair, isn’t afraid to experiment with her look and has a style that’s been described as a ‘gangsta Nancy Sinatra’. Oh, and she’s already a favourite with the London fashion crowd with Video Games being played at both Christopher Kane and Emilio de la Morena’s spring/summer 2012 shows in September.

Beating a host of actresses to the coveted role of Lisbeth Salander in the remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo alongside Daniel Craig, New Yorker Rooney Mara is definitely a new face to watch. With a knack for beauty reinvention – she can do pretty ‘English Rose’, sultry vixen (thanks to red carpet appearances with slicked hair and crimson lips) or edgy, due to her short crop playing Lisbeth.

ELLE cover star Dakota Fanning has notched up a fair few acting credits in her short lifetime (she’s only 17) including War of the Worlds alongside Tom Cruise and the Twilight Saga. Up until now Dakota has left her flowing blonde locks to hang loose and made pretty girl-next-door make-up her staple look for the red carpet.
