Backstage at the s/s 2010 fashion shows in September there were rumblings, from those in the beauty know, that ‘Greige
’ (that’s grey and beige blended together) was going to be the hot new shade for spring/summer. Once Chanel showcased their Particuliere polish on the models, and songstress Lily Allen
, at the show in Paris we knew this was set to be the nail shade du jour (well, you saw the mania that surrounded Jade
).
Now the A-listers are in on the act. Manicurist to the stars Kimmie Kyees used nail brand Color Club on Rihanna
, while Eva
was spotted rocking a metallic take on the Greige look. Gwyneth
wore the hue at Madrid Fashion Week, while at the Golden Globes
Sandra shunned classic red for the on-trend shade. If you can’t get your hands on Chanel’s Particuliere, £16 in store now, then try Nails Inc’s Jermyn Street, £10.50 or OPI’s Tickle My France-y, £9.95, which was used on models at the s/s 10 Louise Goldin
show during LFW.
