This summer the A-list alternative to smoky eyes is orange. For a sultry look - look to Rihanna . She’s chosen a burnt orange eye-shadow finished with lashings of black mascara and liner to define her eyes. Or go light and bright by adding sparkle like Jessica and Charlize . To get the look, layer a peach shadow like Illamasqua’s Powder Eyeshadow in Blame, £14 with Mac’s Pigment in Copper Sparkle, £14.68. Christina Ricci makes a bold statement using a simple technique – an orange liner like Barry M’s Kohl Pencil in Orange, £2.95 and black mascara are all you need. Paul Herrington at Bobbi Brown advises, 'if you're using the brightest colour on your eyes, stick to a nude gloss on the lip. That way you can be on-trend without being over the top'. Our favourite look blends warm grey with bronze and orange for a 1980s take that’s perfect for singer La Roux.
