British pride is reaching a heady climax this weekend, and whilst we the common people are all rushing to deck ourselves out in red white and blue to show our allegiance to crown and country, over on the other side – that is, the red carpet – the starry beings are clothing themselves in Best of British designer threads.
And we love them for it. From Stella’s Stalwarts Natalia Vodianova and Kylie Minogue shutting it down in the designer’s gowns earlier this week, to Kristen Stewart and Diane Kruger turning to Vivienne Westwood for their turn in the spotlight, the great and good of British design are dominating the celebrity scene.
And of course an honourable mention goes to those who choose to champion the younger crop of British designers – Caroline Seiber in Christopher Kane, Rosamund Pike in Mary Katrantzou and Ginnifer Goodwin in Preen – a pretty patriotic crop indeed.
