As fresh-faced Romeo Beckham grinned wonkily into Mario Testino’s lens for that much talked-about Burberry advert, it was a signal to the world that Brand Beckham is extending into a second generation. But where did it all begin?
Advertisers were quick to cash in on David Beckham’s prowess on the pitch, photogenic looks and gym-honed body, but it was only after teaming up with wife Victoria, that Brand Beckham really started to fly – who can forget those Intimately Beckham perfume ads from 2006?
Myriad gratuitous underwear shots later, Queen Victoria was throwing off the WAG mantle and carving out a career as a fashion designer. This, coupled with a move to LA and countless A-lister friends, has ensured today’s Brand Beckham looks very healthy indeed – and, with Romeo joining the gang, looks set to run and run and run and run.
