Spotting celebrities wearing miniskirts in summer is easy, but this season a few variations on the look caught our attention and got the ELLE seal of approval. Cheryl Cole looked chic and pulled together in Louis Vuitton (even with a tan and hair extensions) and we loved model Lily Donaldson’s cool and casual, black leather skirt and white T-shirt combo (Click here to see how to style a leather miniskirt ). We’ve also noticed a particular trend, championed by Lindsay Lohan and Rihanna , that we are calling the ‘I left my trousers at home’ look - inspired by the eighties, think sportwear like a long hoody or tunic and not much else.
