Back in the eighties Tony Pike cornered the celebrity market with his fabled pool parties at Pikes hotel, where Freddie mercury celebrated his 40th birthday and wham! filmed the music video for Club Tropicana. 

Since then there's been a steady stream of rockstars, models, designers and actors visiting the island for their fix of Balearics Bliss: from regular fixtures Kate Moss and the Delevingnes to unlikely fans like Kylie Minogue and Valentino, everyone, it seems, goes through the rite of passage on the White Isle. 

And then there are those who love it so much they stay here for good: Jade Jagger and Elle Macpherson both have pads here. We're still waiting for our invites...
