Believe it or not, there is life beyond the clubs in Ibiza. If your curiosity extends beyond the sound systems and pulsing bodies, then it’s a fascinating and beautiful place to explore. Last year I finally decided to make Ibiza my home after 10 years of coming here. I’m working for a concierge company called El Colo (elcoloibiza.com) and have just set up my own boutique wedding-planning company (emmajaneweddings.com).

One of my favourite spots is Atlantis (Sa Pedrera, near Cala D’Hort, Sant Josep de sa Talaia), a disused quarry behind the Torre viewing point, with natural caves and amazing crystal blue water. Stop off at the new Sardina Loca (Camí Cala Carbó 6, 07830 Sant Josep de sa Talaia; enq: 00 971 808 2 88, lasardinaloca.com) on the way for a delicious breakfast. Owned by a Dutch fashion designer and his interiors expert wife, it’s a cool space, and they have one of their KsaR showrooms (ksarliving.com) and shop right next door – really worth seeing.

Over the years, I've crammed my little black book full of the island’s best and most secret addresses. I’d recommend sushi hotspot Nagai (San Juan Km.9,5; enq 00 971807308, nagairestaurant.com), or the recently opened Taco Paco (Carrer San Jaime, 1, 07840 Santa Eulalia des Ríu; enq 00 34 971 80 75 56), a cutesy Mexican in Sant Eulalia, with hand-painted skulls and the best burritos in the Balearics.

My favourite place to while away a Sunday afternoon? Hidden Bar (Cala Sant Vicent , 07811 Ibiza; enq 00 34 97132 0253, hidden-bar.com), a quirky garden space run by a Chris Edwardes and Amanda Blanch, where you can play giant chess and crazy golf while downing Ibiza’s best daiquiris. With a new menu of English classics being introduced this year, it is, as Amanda describes it, ‘A magical twist on all that is good from England and Spain.'
