The French fashion brand today announced the ELLE cover star as the face of its autumn winter 2012 advertising campaign.
‘Elegant yet edgy, her attitude reflects a personality that is both glamorous and rock ’n’ roll,’ a brand representative told WWD.
Photographer Glen Luchford shot the black-and-white campaign in the early-morning hours at Paris’s Porte des Lilas Metro station. The result is a series of light-soaked images reminiscent of classic portraits of Jane Birkin and other tousled 1960s beauties.
Chung has appeared in campaigns for Superga, Pepe Jeans and Vero Moda, among others. Considering her record as a model-turned-designer (for Madewell) and model-turned-creative-director (for Superga), might we see an ‘Alexa for Maje’ collection sometime soon? Because that, as they say, could be a-Maje-ing.
