Adele has been awarded an MBE for services to the music industry on the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

It’s quite an award – although we’re not sure if she’ll have room in her trophy cabinet. Since she released her first album, 19, in 2008, she’s won nine Grammy awards, four BRITs, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. We’d be jealous if we weren’t too busy loving her music.

Others honoured alongside Adele include Sarah Curran, the founder of My-wardrobe.com; artist Grayson Perry; veteran fashion journalist Hilary Alexander; and sculptor Anish Kapoor. Fellow musician PJ Harvey also received an MBE for services to music, while there was strong jewellery contingent, with Pippa Small, Bec Astley Clarke and Laurence Graff all making the list.

Congratulations to all from ELLE!
