Before London’s preeminent art event opened its tents to visitors this morning, a select cadre of art appreciators stopped by to preview work by more than 1,000 artists. Gwen Stefani, Celine designer Phoebe Philo, Caroline Sieber, Natalia Vodianova and Tali Lennox took turns around the stands yesterday.
The annual art fair exhibits works from 173 global galleries in a sprawling complex of tents in Regent’s Park. Outside of central London, COS—which supports Frieze’s Frame section—commissioned art students to create installations in its store windows. And farther afield, Karl Lagerfeld is designing one gallery’s booth at Paris’s FIAC fair, happening 20-23 October.
