Forget Mean Girls – Amanda Seyfried is ELLE’s girl this month.

Shot for the cover of our new June issue by Kai Z Feng, the ice-cool actress kicks back in a Melissa Odabash bikini and textured jacket by Roberto Cavalli, while inside she models summer-ready looks by designers including Saint Laurent, Isabel Marant, Michael Kors and Chloé.

She also talks candidly about sex, food and therapy in what can only be described as our most unexpected interview ever.

‘I would be lying if I said I wasn’t constantly aware of what I’m doing with my body,’ tells us. ‘I don’t have to look like a supermodel. I don’t have to have those abs – the camera doesn’t see that.

‘But because we have all been designed to want these things, I’m a victim of this stuff, too.’

But she’s pretty brave about facing down what strangers have to say about her. A prolific Twitterer herself, she doesn’t shy away from the comments of others.

‘Sometimes I read the feed where people are talking about me,’ she admits. ‘I want to see what people have posted.

‘Like, if I have a weird conversation with someone in the street and they take a picture of me, sometimes I want to see whether they put it online – it’s stupid, I shouldn’t really.

‘I have a healthy curiosity.’
