Bonnie Wright has come a long way since graduating from Hogwarts as Ginny Weasley. At just 23-years-old, the Harry Potter actress has written and directed Know Thyself, an emotive 8-minute short film.

The single character narrative follows an unnamed boy (played by Christian Coulson) as he stumbles through a forest, wrestling with his grief over the recent loss of a loved one.

‘Landscape as a character or a space in which a character can change is definitely a recurring theme in my work,’ Bonnie told us after a private viewing of the film at London's The Box.

‘I’d also recently visited upstate New York for the first time and fell in love with the landscape. There was something so beautifully still at the top of the cliff ridges.’

The actor-turned-director is relishing the new challenge so much that she's already working on her next project, telling us: ‘I am excited to announce that I am currently in the development stage of my next short film.

'It’s working title is Have A Nice Day

We're just as excited to see it.
