We know all about the drama surrounding Cole and Simon Cowell's relationship. Since her unceremonious axe from the US X Factor last year, their relationship has been more than a little rocky. So it was rather telling that Cole chose Cowell's rival show The Voice for her debut single performance. We wonder whether the music mogul tuned in...?
And what a performance! Really, is there nothing the woman can’t do? Her dance moves were sharp and polished, her singing (even half and half) was flawless, her moves effortless (she actually swan-dived off a balcony into the arms of her hunky dancers, I mean – c’mon!) and her body looked super-toned thanks to her training sessions with Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow's star trainer Tracey Anderson.
And she knows how to rock those clashing Cavalli prints (the same outfit from the Call My Name Video) so well that we were tempted—well, almost tempted—to wear something similar to work today. Her hair stood high in the dishevelled ponytail that her video has made into such a talking point. We were in awe.
In Cannes, Cole exclusively told ELLE that, 'for a new video, you do want to feel fresh. You don’t want the same hair that you had two months ago.’ Which means the star is likely to change her hair before her second video hits our TV screens, but not as soon or as frequently as we see stars like Katy Perry and Rihanna update their looks. ‘It’s nice to play with colour,’ she told us. ‘I love experimenting with hair colour and changing it, a lot—but I always go back to brown.... It’s an easy decision for me and it’s something I feel comfortable with.’
If you love Cheryl's hair as much as we do and want the inside scoop, you don't need to look far. We got all the details about the sumptuous colour, effortless fringe and textured lengths from Cheryl's hairstylist Lisa Laudet.
