Its official: Cheryl Cole is returning to X-Factor. Four years after she left the British TV show and three years after her short-lived stint and fallout with Simon Cowell on the US show, the star has been persuaded to take up her seat on the judging panel once more. Cheryl, last night, agreed a cool £1.5 million deal which makes the Girls Aloud star ITV's second highest-paid panellist next to her boss Simon Cowell.
Her dramatic reappearance follows a shake-up of the panel after Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne vacated their spots. Rumour has it that Louis Walsh will return along with Simon Cowell himself, which leaves just one more chair to fill.
