Tim Burton’s latest film stars Johnny Depp as a vampire who revisits his small hometown after 200 years, meeting descendants played by Chloe Moretz and Michelle Pfeiffer. The actors selected suitably dramatic premiere-wear to match their theme.
Eva Green, who plays a scorned witch in the film, wore a midnight-blue velvet column dress by Tom Ford with two gold cuffs and a bold emerald ring. Moretz chose a claret-red lace dress from the McQ Alexander McQueen autumn winter 2012 show collection, and Pfeiffer coordinated in a strapless Lanvin dress from AW12.
In case that sounds too polished for a film based on a 1960s daytime soap, never fear: Depp and Helena Bonham Carter appeared in reliably eccentric form. Mrs Burton wore a striped Westwood-ish creation, while Depp wore a two-toned lab-coat-like blazer and blue glasses.
