Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy show the guys how it’s done in this comedy from the director of Bridesmaids.

Bullock is Ashburn, an uptight FBI agent on the trail of a drug dealer in Boston. Mullins (McCarthy) is on a one-woman mission to clean up the mean streets of Boston.

Forced to pair up, they fight like cat and dog until a bust-up with some patronising, sexist cops. Then it’s these two against the world – watch out world!

It’s great fun watching these comically gifted actresses stick it to the man in no uncertain terms.

McCarthy is hilarious as tough, mouthy, Mullins who can floor a suspect with one choice insult. Meanwhile Bullock gamely sports a terrible suit and an awkward gait as the workaholic finally finding a friend.

With its paper-thin plot, this isn’t quite up there with Bridesmaids, but it’s still a very funny, and refreshingly female, buddy movie.
