Rihanna was spotted wearing a piece from her upcoming collection for River Island yesterday.
The navy jumpsuit was the first item from the collaboration to be revealed ahead of its launch in spring 2013.
Teamed with thick gold chains around her wrist and neck, the suedette jumpsuit has a drawstring waist and a hood for a relaxed streetwear look.
The picture came to light just before Rihanna tweeted a photo of herself on set shooting the collection’s campaign, with models Jourdan Dunn and Bambi Northwood-Blyth in cut off denim shorts, slubby T-shirts, vests, jeans and sweaters tied around their waists.
If the jumpsuit is anything to go by, it seems the high street line will be a closer reflection of Rihanna’s casual wear than her glamorous red carpet looks.
‘I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special,’ Rihanna said when the line was first announced.
The collection is just one element of Rihanna’s partnership with River Island: the singer’s latest album Unapologetic is now sold in their stores, her latest single Diamonds is available to download from riverisland.com and the brand streamed an entire concert live to their Facebook page during her 777 tour last month.
