Sartorially speaking, the Grammys were on their best behaviour this year. The closest we got to a Lady Gaga egg moment was probably Madonna arriving dressed in the same outfit as her eight-year-old son David - which scores mildly surprising at best on the shock-o-meter.

Inside, however, it was a different story, as Beyoncé and Jay Z ramped up the heat with a sexed-up performance of Drunk In Love to kick the proceedings into gear.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were the year's big success story, and newcomer (and ELLE crush) Lorde scooped best pop solo performance. Elsewhere, Pharrell Williams took home producer of the year - and if ELLE were giving out trophies for best red carpet hat, he'd probably have had that, too.
