Packham will create women’s, children’s and accessories collections for Debenhams’ UK-wide network of department stores.
She joins fellow Designers at Debenhams names including Jonathan Saunders, Preen, Roksanda Ilincic, Henry Holland and Matthew Williamson.
Packham’s embellished red-carpet gowns are beloved by Hollywood a-listers including Kate Beckinsale, Leighton Meester and Kate Winslet, who recently wore a black and white gown by the designer to the Golden Globes.
But her most famous fan would have to be the Duchess of Cambridge, who shimmered in Packham’s pink sequinned column in June 2011, before wearing a number of more casual daytime looks during her Canadian tour.
The collection is expected to launch for spring-summer 2012.
