Hong Kong born fashion pioneer has confirmed that he has retired from London Fashion Week.

It has been 29 years since his eponymous collection first appeared on the schedule, and the designer has added that his showing was in fact his last.

The news has been met with heavy hearts. ELLE editor-in-chief Lorraine says, 'John Rocha is one of the most respected and creative designers in the history of London Fashion Week. I personally will miss seeing his show, but I'm sure we will see as much, if not more, from John in the future. He is also one of the kindest and most charming designers in London, and Team ELLE wishes him all the best.'

The Rocha legacy continues too, with his daughter and winner of our first ELLE/Cointreau Bursary, still very much carrying the family torch.
