We’re all used to seeing the Duchess of Cambridge lending her name to good causes – and, for the very first time, to mark Children’s Hospice Week, she’s adding her voice.

In her inaugural video address in her role as a royal patron, Kate talks directly to the camera in a two minute clip highlighting the ‘simply transformational’ work that East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) - and its counterparts - does to support sick children and their families.

‘I hope that you will join me this Children’s Hospice Week in supporting your local service. To find out more about how you can help, please visit togetherforshortlives.org.uk,’ she says. ‘With your support, we can help ensure that these children and their families can make the most of the precious time they have together.’
