Kate Middleton has appeared in Newcastle to greet well-wishers without her husband but wearing a wool aubergine coat from a non-label designer or dressmaker. Kate has styled the coat with her trademark flourish - belted firmly at the waist with a gold-buckled black belt we have seen before – with this LK Bennett green skirt suit.
It was a coat that royal watchers have also seen in the past – for her first Christmas as part of the Royal family at Sandringham.
The Duchess of Cambridge was carrying out a few engagements in Newcastle; firstly at the Civic Centre then onto other locations, meeting community groups and school children in Elswick Park, Newcastle, where, apparently, she revealed she likes to grow her own potatoes - according to the Mirror newspaper.
