Kate Moss made sure that her book, Kate: The Kate Moss book was launched in decadent style last night.

After a book signing at Marc Jacobs’ Mayfair boutique – in the book section, naturally, called Book Marc, to which Kate wore a full length Marc Jacobs leopard print dress. The night then proceeded at a swell party at yet another rarefied Mayfair venue.

ELLE rocked up to find the A-list partying with the gusto that only a Kate Moss event could generate. Florence Welch looked a vision in white and nude Marc Jacobs, while Stella McCartney shimmered in brocade jumpsuit of her own design, mingling with more of the Moss posse, Boy George and Noel Gallagher.

Husband Jamie Hince was there, along with bandmate Alison Mosshart, who was wearing a combination of Missoni trousers, ‘old old old Miu Miu’ top and a vintage silk blouse. She was pleased to hear from ELLE that Bella Freud loves dressing her, a designer who is also friends with Ms Moss, and also attended last night. Back from her adventures in Bicester, she looked fetching in a gold blouse.

Kristen McMenamy was top to toe in Alexander McQueen, while Pixie Geldof in Louis Vuitton joined Jamie Winstone who wore vintage Versace and Fendi and possibly the most fashion forward Radio 1 DJ in the station’s history, Nick Grimshaw, who wore a three piece suit to perform his DJ duties.

Supermodel Cara Delevingne was relaxed in black leggings, and retro Adidas jacket. She was joined by model and actress Liberty Ross, who took Cara for a spin on the dance floor.

Woman of the moment Kate Moss surpassed all expectations in a quite literally dazzling floor length gold lame gown by who was co-hosting the launch. Champagne and CIROC Ultra-Premium Vodka cocktails flowed freely all night and a good time was had by all.
