When you walk as many red carpets as Kristen Stewart, there’s going to be some outfit overlap.
The same colour here, a similar silhouette there – it’s bound to happen.
So it’s understandable that the Twilight star stepped out last night in her third lace outfit in as many weeks. But, in a testament to her style credentials, she’s managed to show three completely different looks (as well as a lot of half-concealed skin) in just the one fabric.
First up it was sexy lace, in the shape of a vampish beaded jumpsuit by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, which she wore at the London premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 2. In fact, it was so sexy it proved too much for the famously casual star, who promptly changed into a T-shirt and jeans for a not-so-stylish cinema exit.
Next up was ladylike lace. The black full-length dress with a white lace structured top by Paris design twosome Talbot Runhof was a perfect ensemble for the sober Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences' awards ceremony - a masterclass in how to do lace with a demure twist.
Finally last night’s boyish lace: the biggest style success and certainly the most in sync with K-Stew's personality. The lace top and shorts from Jason Wu's spring/summer 2013 collection, were the perfect red carpet go-to for this Tinseltown tomboy.
