Singer-turned-actress Lady Gaga yesterday revealed on Instagram that she is to release a new fragrance – the long-awaited follow-up to 2012's Fame, which has since sold over 30 million bottles worldwide.

Naturally, the announcement sent her Little Monsters into a fragrance frenzy of Twitter questions, which Mother Monster was only too happy to answer.

We've rifled through them all, and here are the 8 things you need to know:

1) It's called Eau de Gaga.

2) Steven Meisel has shot the campaign image, which features Gaga herself. Meisel also created the promo material for Fame.

3) The base ingredients consist of sparkling water, lime and leather.

4) It's unisex - inspired by 'the adventurous woman and the man who loves her'.

5) The bottle is 'timeless, elegant and luxurious - something that would last forever'.

5) It is potentially the start of a collection. Gaga clarified on Twitter that the scent's full name will be 'EAU DE GAGA No. 1'.

6) Like Fame, it has been created by Haus Laboratories, Gaga's own team.

7) It smells 'alluring and ready for sex'. Natch.

8) We don't know its release date yet – though Gaga qualified her Instagram pic with 'coming soon'.

Brace yourselves.
