Gaga chose a sheer white tunic with lace appliqués from Rocha’s spring summer ’12 collection.
‘I’m delighted!’ Rocha, currently meeting buyers in Paris, told us between appointments. ‘It’s always a compliment when somebody chooses to wear my designs. After showing in London I was told she would be interested in seeing pieces and I’m over the moon she chose the new S/S '12 for her time in London so soon after the show.’
The young London designer presented her first solo show in mid-September. For her debut foray outside the Fashion East nest, Rocha played with notions of transparency through layered, largely white looks.
Rocha said she hopes that Gaga, in town to film an interview with Jonathan Ross and take in Tony Bennett’s concert, might revisit her collection for a more colour-coordinated ensemble.
‘I’d like to see her in the green dress from the collection to match her hair!’
