Paltrow, the face of the brand, brought a shot of sunshine to the proceedings with her tangerine Lanvin jersey dress.
‘It’s so much about nostalgia, about my high school days in New York,’ Paltrow told WWD.
Husband Chris Martin and friends Thandie Newton, Mario Testino and David Bailey joined Paltrow for the private dinner at Mayfair’s Arts Club.
Testino also made an appearance at a Campaign for Wool event at La Galleria on Pall Mall. HRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, along with Colin and Livia Firth, welcomed designers and fashionable friends to the Wool Modern exhibition, which explores the inventive uses of wool in fashion and other creative industries.
Dame Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Bailey, Giles Deacon, Lily Cole, Mark Fast and Henry Holland also attended.
