‘I don’t like feeling trapped or feeling that I’m not able to move forward. I do feel that this year is the end of some things and the beginnings of something else.’ So says the model-turned-actress Liberty Ross, in a new video which was released today. She went on: ‘I think that beginnings are always really exciting. Change is very important in life.’
She could just be talking in general terms, but could Liberty, who is of course married to Rupert Sanders, Kristen Stewart’s director in Snow White and the Huntsman, with whom he apparently had an affair – be making a cryptic announcement to the world?
Liberty is a muse of New York sports-luxe designer Alexander Wang, who has made the video featuring the model speaking candidly about her life growing up in LA, where her dad ran a roller disco ‘called Flipper [where] my siblings used to push me around the rink in a stroller’, when she was a baby as well as her thoughts on her life now.
Against the backdrop of footage of her rehearsing and walking in Wang’s spring/summer 2013 show, she recounts career highs, including, in the early days of her career, being Ozzy Osbourne’s bride on the cover of one of his albums. She confesses that she still gets nervous before shows and has to ‘face [her] fears’.
She adds, ‘I have a really good balance. I am very happy in my life. I am very lucky. I have good people, I have two amazing children. I believe we are all on journeys and I believe we are all given lessons at certain times in our lives. And sometimes when things seem really bad, you have to be able to see the good. And then, move forward as graciously as possible.'
Sound advice from Liberty – now let the speculation as to precisely what she is referring begin.
