The BFI London Film festival kicked off last week and over the last 7 days, the red carpet around Leicester Square has been heavily trodden with stars promoting their latest films.
Hollywood royalty were in the capital for the opening night premiere of Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks.
Then Sandra Bullock walked the red carpet in black lace for the European premiere of .
And, while she was busy singing autographs, one lucky cinema-goer saw her boyfriend go down on one knee in front of the crowd (luckily she said yes).
Saturday night was all about the rom-com with premieres of Enough Said, a mid-life love story starring the late, great James Gandolfini and Hello Carter, a warm and witty tale of love in the capital.
Jesse Eisenberg was in town too for the premiere of The Double co-starring Mia Wasikowska.The actor will be back again tomorrow for Night Moves, his second film at the festival making him one of its undeniable stars.
Still to get excited about in week two of the festival is the Coen Brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis, starring Carey Mulligan; and Cannes Palme dOr winner Blue is the Warmest Colour.
